Feeling Disenfranchised?

While Pennsylvanians like me will have the right to cast a vote during the Republican primary in late April, we certainly are marginalized. Included below is the schedule for the primaries. Iowa and New Hampshire are done and South Carolina is in the on deck circle. The PA primary isn't until April 24 by which time, as usual the "winner" will already be decided. So yes, I get to vote, but no, that vote has been deprived of the power to impact the race.
Just like 2008 brought us the glory of the McCain campaign in which the guy who was elected, by virtue of his color, got to win without ever being challenged by either the media or his opponent. 2012 is looking like Romney will be jammed down our throats, oh goody. I'll end up pulling the lever for the stiff from MA, even though I should vote for Gary Johnson. Romney will only get my vote because a vote for Johnson will be the equivalent of a vote for Obama. While I really don't like Romney, there is no doubt he sucks much less than the current community organizer in chief. It's great having a choice between a frozen turd and a steaming pile of shit, either way, they are both shit.
It is certainly fine for the GOP to nominate somebody like Romney but I'd be much less frustrated if I could actually vote for the guy I'd like to see win rather than the shittiness of a late primary that never matters. I hate not having a voice. Until the Republican party changes the primary schedule and I get a meaningful vote, I've written my last check to the GOP. Sure, I'll support the candidates that I believe in, but the party can kiss my ass. I'm going to change my registration to independent or libertarian and be done with it, maybe at least then they won't continue to bother me for money and I can skip the off year primaries without feeling guilty. Its not as if our votes matter anyway.
