Ohio House Votes to Allow Guns in Bars
The Ohio senate had already passed a similar law that allows those with carry permits to carry their firearms into places that serve alcohol. The Ohio house, on a vote of 56 to 39, has also passed such a bill. Governor Kasich has expressed that he is in favor of the measure so hopefully he signs this into law.
43 other states already allow this, including Pennsylvania. Although drinking and firearms mix about as well as drinking and driving, there is no reason you can't stop in for a beer with some friends. It is better to leave your gun right where it belongs, in your holster, rather than leaving it stashed in the car. Soon you'll be able to do just that in Ohio.
You've got to love the comments being made here. Everything from likening Ohio to the wild west to just wait till the first drunk starts shooting the place up. I'm amazed at the rather low opinion we as citizens have of each other.
