A Romney Loss For a Better America

Tags: obama

I'm not looking forward to enjoying four more years of an Obama administration. Having this guy as POTUS has been painful, from his wife's lavish vacations to the time he spends playing golf, it doesn't seem like he even really likes the job. Oh, it has its perks and he has been able to take care of his friends with nice juicy loans they don't have to pay back, but being president is hard work and if there is one thing Obama doesn't like, it is hard work.

Yes, having this lazy, incompetent, radical, arrogant asshole as president for four more years will be better for the country than 4 or 8 years of a Romney administration. I'm not going to vote for Obama but I won't be voting for Romney and after reading Shikha Dalmia's column, I don't even feel guilty about it.

For example, on "crony capitalism" which Romney has been speaking out about and which is near and dear to the friends of Obama, she has this to say:

But, tellingly, the financial bailout was just fine with him. That’s no coincidence. He is, after all, the ultimate Wall Street insider, receiving millions of dollars in subsidies and government handouts for companies he was trying to rescue as CEO of Bain Capital. He might not be running with the intention of helping his corporate pals, but it is inevitable that they’ll have his ear. Someone less naturally suited to shutting the revolving door between Wall Street and Washington is hardly imaginable.

If you think Romney will shut out all of his old clients and friends, you should have your head examined. It will be more of the same, regardless of what he spouts on the campaign trail.

Obama Campaign Encouraging Credit Card Fraud

Tags: obama

2012 same shit as 2008 just a different election. While accepting web donations for his 2008 campaign for president, Obama turned off all of the basic fraud checks used by every reputable online site to combat credit card fraud and identity theft. As Hotair's Allahpundit says "Here we go again."

Obama and his band of crooks are up to the same tricks this election. You can check out a video here of "Nidal Hasan" making a donation. Evidently Adolf Hitler demonstrated his support for the ONE over the weekend when he made his donation.

Aside from the fact that donations from foreigners are against the law, the Obama campaign has decided to skip all of the basic checks that reputable web businesses use to process credit cards. These checks include address verification (AVS) that allows a site to verify if the address you've entered matches up with the address on file with the credit card company. Without AVS anybody in the world can donate to Obama and anybody who happens to have access to lots of compromised credit card numbers could easily donate thousands of dollars in small increments under fake names. Even unsophisticated credit card thieves can play this game because not only does the Obama campaign not check the address, they don't even bother asking for the CVV2 or security code. You know when you make an online purchase you always get asked for the 3 digit code from the back of your card. This is one small way to help ensure that you are actually in possession of the actual credit card and therefore a defense against fraud.

Obama is all alone in his encouragement of his supporters to steal credit card numbers because both Romney and Santorum check the addresses and the security codes. I wonder how many unsuspecting fraud victims have small mysterious charges to the Obama campaign on the credit card statements. I wonder how many of those charges will slip by unnoticed. This is yet another reason that you need to verify the charges presented in your statement. Even if you never loose your physical card, your number is potentially available to thieves who obtain stolen credit card information from hackers breaking into online systems.

Given how blatantly the Obama campaign encourages such fraud, you would think that they could be held legally liable for any of the fraudulent charges coming their way. I wonder how many fraudulent charges they are processing and how many chargebacks they are dealing with and why VISA and Mastercard allow such a high profile web site to simply ignore all of the common sense protections against fraud. Coal Country Voters

Tags: obama, epa, energy

If you happen to live in "coal country" and voted for Obama, you voted to have your electricity price skyrocket and for your neighbors to be unemployed. The EPA is moving to regulate CO2 as a pollutant and forcing many coal fired generation plants to close. Coal is cheap and abundant and closing down coal powered electrical generation will only make energy more expensive. Remember we still have an economy that is struggling. What do you think higher energy prices will do to it? Where is all of the power supposed to come from to charge up all of the Chevy Volts? Er... never mind.

A great place to learn about the abundance of energy available within the USA is the Institute for Energy Research. Thomas Pyle, the president of IER said this about the Obama administration's war on coal:

President Obama promised to bankrupt coal-powered electricity in the United States, and this latest rule — when combined with the administration’s new rules for mercury emissions and cross-state pollution — makes good on that promise. Already, towns like Craig, Colo., whose economies rely on coal-fired electricity generation, are struggling under the burden of Obama regulations.

Our economy depends upon coal which is used to produce 42% of our electricity. Obama's war on coal is a war against our very way of life. EPA's over stepping the boundaries of their authority will do nothing to stop "global warming" but it will make energy cost more and if energy costs go up, the cost of EVERYTHING goes up.

Affirmative Action in the Animal Kingdom

Tags: obama

Found this little tidbit on the web this morning. It seems that certain owls simply must die to protect a smaller and weaker owl. So now as Les puts it we have a case of:

interspecies affirmative action with a shotgun. What could possiblie go wrong?

I thought the greenies wanted evil men to stay out of Mother Nature's way? Of course this isn't the first time the Government slaughtered one animal to protect another. As the Washington Post says:

The plan to kill barred owls would not be the first time the federal government has authorized killing of one species to help another. California sea lions that feast on threatened salmon in the Columbia River have been killed in recent years after efforts to chase them away or scare them failed.

But sea lions are cute and salmon are yummy...

Is Becker A Marxist?

Tags: obama, nlrb

Because there was no way to get Becker or Solomon through the senate confirmation process, Obama gave them the job anyway via a recess appointment.  The DailyCaller is reporting on a letter sent by Republicans to the President asking him to rethink he decision.

Several Republican senators penned an open letter to President Barack Obama on Thursday calling on him to immediately rescind National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) nominations for Lafe Solomon and former Service Employees International Union (SEIU) general counsel Craig Becker. Their request comes as the NLRB is leading a charge against Boeing for planning to open a non-union factory in South Carolina.

Obama has been in bed with SEIU for a long time and his selections for the NLRB should come as no surprise.  What is surprising is the outright Marxism promoted by Becker in past Law Review articles. Continue Reading »

The Hapless Obama Administration

Tags: obama, osama

Osama Bin Laden RaidIts looking like we'll never learn the truth of what occurred earlier this week at the compound in Pakistan.  The only people who know what happened are the members of the team that executed the raid and the people who watched events unfold in the White House situation room.

Obama ordered the raid and his administration is controlling the information about the raid that gets released to us.  The problem is there story keeps changing.  Who was the woman who at first was killed and then only shot in the leg?  Was Osama armed or not?  What actually happened?  Did Obama order the team to kill Osama?  Continue Reading »

Obama Caves to Trump

After a couple of years of fighting against the release of his "long form" birth certificate, all it took was a billionaire with a big mouth to push the issue far enough for Obama to cave.  Reportedly he spent well over a million dollars in keeping this thing under wraps, but now has released it.

Supposedly he released it so that people could stop talking about the issue and focus on the challenges the country faces, including our immense budget problem.  Why did it take so long?  Was he using it to paint his opponents as fringe?  Was he holding it back for just the right time to maximize his political points and maybe damaging a credible GOP contender? I don't think we'll ever know the truth and I don't think that the most adamant of the conspiracy theorists will be satisfied.  Most of the American public will now be satisfied that he was indeed born here.  With some of the polls showing that a growing number of Americans were starting to question his birthplace, perhaps Obama decided that his little game was doing more damage to himself than to his opponents.

Obama Cries About Gas Prices

Tags: obama

As gas prices continue to rise, King B. Hussein the First admits he is powerless to do anything about the situation.  While it does take time to put new resources online and for the oil to flow into the market, signaling to the market that such resources are indeed on the horizon would influence the market today.

Rather than letting the world know that America intends to exploit American resources, this president has told the world that America will ever tap those resources and that he will even stop the oil from flowing in existing wells.

Surely dropping the moratorium on gulf drilling would have some impact upon the market along with allowing the economy of the gulf to begin to recover by putting people back to work.  No, he isn't interested in that and would rather play the helpless and hapless fool.

gas can

During his weekly dishonest radio address that nobody hears, he said:

Now, whenever gas prices shoot up, like clockwork, you see politicians racing to the cameras, waving three-point plans for $2 gas. You see people trying to grab headlines or score a few points. The truth is, there's no silver bullet that can bring down gas prices right away.

That's $4 billion of your money going to these companies when they're making record profits and you're paying near record prices at the pump. It has to stop.

This guy sure does love to make demons out of unfavored business people.  If you aren't in like GE's Immelt you too can be the object of Hussein's "two minutes hate."

However, as Senator McConnell points out, this guy has done everything within his power to stand in the way of domestic energy production. Continue Reading »

Gas Prices Killing Obama's Re-election Prospects

Tags: obama

The National Journal talks about how rising gas prices will negatively impact Obama's re-election hopes.

Complicating the scenario for President Obama—who campaigned on a pledge to move the nation toward a "green economy"—are Democrats in Congress who come from states where fossil fuels equal jobs. A series of votes earlier this month on Environmental Protection Agency regulations highlighted the rift between the president and Democrats from coal states. And Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., has been harshly critical of Obama's refusal to expand deepwater oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico—a potential boon to her state's economy.

Birtherism, All The Cool Kids Believe It

Tags: obama

The latest NYT/CBS poll finds that there is no real frontrunner for the GOP nomination at this point.  Only those candidates or potential candidates with national recognition are on the minds of Republican voters.

One interesting finding is their claim that 47% of Republicans don't believe that Obama was born in this country.

A plurality of Republican voters, 47 percent, said they believed Mr. Obama, who was born in Hawaii, was born in another country; 22 percent said they did not know where he was born, and 32 percent said they believed he was born in the United States.

Given that this was buried within the last third of their story, I'm not sure how much confidence they place in the numbers.  I'd think that they would be thrilled to paint Republicans as nothing but a bunch of crazy "birthers."  That leads me to believe the number is BS.

I bet that most people don't have a problem with expecting that Presidential candidates demonstrate incontrovertible proof of their eligibility for the office.  I'd also not be shocked by a finding that a majority of Republicans believe he was probably born here, but are confused as to why he seems to be hiding something.

As this miserable failure moves through his term, many of the things he does and says lead me to question how he views his citizenship regardless of where he was when he emerged from the womb.  I don't believe he truly loves this country.  He has stated on the record his view of the Constitution as a flawed document.  He probably believes himself more a citizen of the world than of the United States.   Continue Reading »

The President's Income Tax Forms

Tags: obama

Since it is the bestest day of the year, tax day, we get to look into the business of our President more closely.  Both Obama and Biden have released their complete tax filing.  You can find them linked from here.  I tried to go through it but I get a little ill when staring at a 1040.

As much as I disagree with the President on most things, it is great to see this:

The largest reported gift to charity was a $131,075 contribution to the Fisher House Foundation. The President is donating the after-tax proceeds from his children’s book to a Fisher House scholarship fund for children of fallen and disabled soldiers.

I'm sorry that I've never heard of the Fisher House Foundation before reading this on Whitehouse.gov.  It looks to be a truly worthy charity that is doing great things for our injured service men and women.

Our Orwellian Present

big-brother.jpg

Orwell's 1949 vision of our dystopian future is sliding into focus in the early 21st century.  1984 has been in the rear view mirror for over two decades, however as the years pass, more and more of the bits and pieces of Orwell's vision are falling into place.  Things today are not as obvious or depressing as they were in his book but there are still reasons to be concerned.

Last week President Obama delivered a speech about the budget of the United States.  During this speech he actually used the phrase "spending reductions in the tax code."  What does that mean?  Is he attempting to mislead the American people?  Does he believe that the average American voter is too stupid to notice his manipulation of the language to manipulate them?  Even Jon Stewart of the Daily Show was less than amused by the President:

What? “Spending reductions in the tax code”? The tax code isn’t where we spend, it’s where we collect, and that…. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I guess what you said is tax “code”, code for raising taxes. You managed to talk about a tax hike as a spending reduction. Can we afford that and the royalty checks you’re going to have to send to George Orwell? That’s the weirdest way of… just say “tax hike”! That’s like saying, “I’m not going on a diet, I’m going to add calories to my excluded food intake!”

Why Obama Sucks at Politics

Tags: obama

How does somebody who clearly sucks at politics end up winning election to the presidency of the United States?  Kaus nails it by stating what many people have been thinking but too afraid to say out loud:

The answer is distressingly obvious: Obama’s the biggest affirmative action baby in history. When other pols are trying, failing, learning, while climbing up the middle rungs of the ladder, he got a pass;

Yes he got a pass.  He's been given passes his entire life.  Why do you think his college records are hidden?  Probably because his grades sucked and it will be obvious that he is the ultimate product of affirmative action.  Good hearted Americans desperate to demonstrate their lack of racism voted for a guy because he was half black.  Nobody asked him any tough questions because he's half black.  We really had no idea who this former community organizer was and in large part we still don't.

Thanks to affirmative action we have an unqualified, ignorant, ideologue cast as the most powerful man on the planet.  On the one hand it is wonderful that our country has elected a black president.  Clearly the worst of our racist past is behind us.  However by electing somebody who has demonstrated again and again that he is not up to the job, will we end up setting race relations back a few decades?  Will it make it tougher for a highly qualified, extremely competent black person to win election?  Since the American people were sold a bill of goods with Barrack Hussein Obama, will they justifiably be hesitant of making the same mistake again?  Continue Reading »

Government Shutdown Avoided. Oh Goody

Tags: obama, budget

Thankfully a last minute deal will keep even the non-essential government drones doing their non-essential tasks and drawing their very real paycheck.  I agree with other bloggers regarding the winners and losers in this saga.  The Republicans win, having proved that when it comes to fiscal matters they have the votes to bust balls and that they are the grownups on the hill.  Given the fact that Pelosi's house couldn't bother with actually passing a budget at all and therefore leaving it for the next congress, she demonstrated both her personal incompetence and the uselessness of her party.

Plus the biggest loser is the jug eared one.  He demonstrated yet again his complete lack of leadership skill.  Of course any situation that requires even a tiny bit of leadership from the POTUS shows the American people the poor choice they made in 2008.  I enjoy how Jay Tea put it: Continue Reading »

Obama No Like Tests

Tags: obama

Obama is an idiotSince the super-duper smart Obama has not released his college transcripts, I can only assume that they demonstrate his lack of brilliance.  Obama is as dim as the damn compact fluorescent lightbulbs being jammed down our throats.

I bet the jug eared one had lower grades than W.  Why else is he hiding his academic records?

For a guy so committed to transparency in government, he sure does keep his life rather opaque.  No college records, no birth certificate, no LSAT score, no SAT score...

It is almost as if we elected an unknown junior senator that not vetted at all.

Boehner Not Backing Down

Hotair is reporting that the budget summit today between the White House and congressional leaders ended up exactly as you would have expected.  No deal.

As for the discussion, Boehner tweeted an assessment earlier that sounded a lot less positive:

Boehner also tweeted at about 11:30 a.m., “It’s become sadly evident to me that the White House and Senate Democrats are just not serious yet about enacting real spending cuts.["]

More Americans Are Awakening

Tags: obama

A March 2011 Gallup poll finds "Americans Less Likely to View Obama as a Strong Leader."  As you can see in the graph below, the number of people who view the empty suit in chief as a strong leader has declined since the glory days of 2009.  The good news is that people are seeing the guy for what he truly is.  The bad news is that 52% of my fellow Americans actually believe him to be a strong and decisive leader.

Who the hell are these people?  Granted, far to many Americans are ignorant concerning current events, with the exception being who they believe will win American Idol, but come on, how can over half of the country believe that the ditherer in chief is decisive? Why the hell do these people even get to vote? Continue Reading »

Our misleader in chief

Tags: obama

Whitehouse.gov is running a story called "The Facts on Domestic Oil and Gas Production." This misleading article was written by Heather Zichal who is Deputy Assistant to the President for Energy and Climate Change.  Leaving aside Ms. Zichal's stupid title (as if she actually could impact the climate of the earth), she hides the truth by only including part of the facts.  Misleading by omission is dishonest and enough for me to consider Ms. Zichal to be nothing but a liar.

For and example of how she purposely misleads readers:

These efforts also are bolstered by the responsible production that DOI is overseeing on onshore public lands as well. In 2010, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) held 33 oil and gas lease sales covering 3.2 million acres, and processed more than 5,000 applications for permits to drill (APD) on Federal and Indian lands. In 2011, BLM is scheduled to hold an additional 33 lease sales, and the bureau expects to process more than 7,200 APDs. Continue Reading »
