As gas prices continue to rise, King B. Hussein the First admits he is powerless to do anything about the situation. While it does take time to put new resources online and for the oil to flow into the market, signaling to the market that such resources are indeed on the horizon would influence the market today.
Rather than letting the world know that America intends to exploit American resources, this president has told the world that America will ever tap those resources and that he will even stop the oil from flowing in existing wells.
Surely dropping the moratorium on gulf drilling would have some impact upon the market along with allowing the economy of the gulf to begin to recover by putting people back to work. No, he isn't interested in that and would rather play the helpless and hapless fool.
During his weekly dishonest radio address that nobody hears, he said:
Now, whenever gas prices shoot up, like clockwork, you see politicians racing to the cameras, waving three-point plans for $2 gas. You see people trying to grab headlines or score a few points. The truth is, there's no silver bullet that can bring down gas prices right away.
That's $4 billion of your money going to these companies when they're making record profits and you're paying near record prices at the pump. It has to stop.
This guy sure does love to make demons out of unfavored business people. If you aren't in like GE's Immelt you too can be the object of Hussein's "two minutes hate."
